How it Works
In regards to the endocannabinoid system, cannabinoids act on two types of receptors the cannabinoid receptors type 1 (CBD) and type 2 (CB2).
For the most part– the receptors of the first type are more common in the cells of the nervous system, while the second type are more common in the immune system.
Facts:
- CBD1 receptors are found in the brain and in the central nervous system.
- CBD2 receptors reside mainly in peripheral organs associated with the immune system.
